If you’ve used Google Earth then you know what an amazing application it is especially for a golf course.
The tools inside Google Earth are as impressive as our big blue planet and for golf courses it is a valuable piece of software that gives players an insight into your golf course.
Below is a simple guide on how to map your course.
It is tricky and if you are a little technology challenged then be prepared for late nights and some head scratching!
To start, locate your course using www.eyespygolf.com and click on the “Aerial Image” icon at the top right of the page. This will automatically fire up Google Earth and zoom you into your course. Next zoom in to a position that you feel golfers would want to see of your course.
Teaching golf to kids, first of all, FUN is the name of the game. Throw in all the technical jargon at the beginning and you will effectively loose the child’s desire to learn golf. Allow a child to “play” golf for fun and enjoyment, and eventually he or she will become a life-long convert of the game of golf!
Hours of practice will only overwhelm a child, so just allow him or her to practice a little bit at first, say 40 minutes. This will keep motivation for practice high.

We as golfers have heard the term swing plane many times during our golfing careers. But do we really know the definition of it and the bearing upon our golf swing?
Recently, I had a conversation with Dean Reinmuth (top 30 teaching pro ranked by Golf Digest) and I think he described swing plane the best. Dean suggests thinking of the swing plane as an imaginary circle. The imaginary circle that represents the swing plane is set at an angle. It is the path on which it is necessary for the club to travel in order to execute the swing correctly.
Getting great prices on golf clubs, as in most hard goods, is a 2 step process these days. First find which model you want in person, then get the best deal on the internet.
So you’ll want to start with a visit to pro shops and sporting goods stores first. Try out as many brands and styles as you can. Continue refining your search until you’ve found the clubs you want. Make a mental note of the price, but know that you are not going to pay nearly that much.
Learning how to play golf is more than just skill. Basic golf equipment and learning about your golfing needs are necessary aspects for gearing up for golf. Here are some golf tips for the beginner to aid you in learning how to play the game.
First, the first piece golf equipment is a golf ball. Golf balls are dimpled so they can go very far when struck by golf clubs. Most country clubs will provide you with balls if you ask.
When gearing up for golf, spend a lot of time learning about your golf club or golf driver. Golf drivers come in different types. This because each course has different landscapes and many golf clubs are required to make the perfect drive. Depending on the terrain, either sand, grass or cement, a golf club is key to make the correct drive. Professional golfers always have a bag or two of clubs to handle their golf needs. Most retail establishments sell golf clubs. Some are sold in sets while other are sold individually.
